An update

Hey everyone who reads my blog. It has been a busy couple weeks here. I’m currently studying Romans chapter 9 and I am running across a part of it that I am wanting to make sure I understand completely and make my decision on what I believe the scripture is supposed to mean. So currently I am studying between the Arminian and Calvinist interpretation of this passage along with any other interpretations that someone else may have in mind. I am wanting to be honest with scripture. So bare with me as I pray and study this passage in detail before I come back with my thoughts.

Of course I value all scripture and want to be honest with it in every instance but some passages and there interpretations do have ramifications in other areas and this is one of them. Since I know this hotly debated in some circles, I want to make sure. So be praying for me as I study.

Also my wife and I have decided to adopt in the future. That is definitely something we feel called to do. It may be our first child or second or third. We haven’t decided the order. So be praying for us in that arena as well. Thank you and I hope you all have a great day.

Just an average guy that loves Jesus, football and wanting to learn more about God everyday. I post my devotions and lessons on here to gather my thoughts together. So if I make a mistake, tell me and if you know places where I can learn more, tell me that too. I hope y’all have a great day.

  1. Just prayed for your future children, whatever it is God’s plan for you two might be. Concerning Romans 8 onwards I’m Calvinistic, don’t know if you know that =)

    1. I had some idea that was the case lol. I already lean Calvinist because of the people that I learned from in the past but I want to be careful not to put my own thoughts on a passage that clearly could go that way without clear and intentional study. I’m listening to the entire book of Romans several times to make sure I’m not taking out of context. Also, thank you for praying for our future kids if God leads us that way.
