Even though I’m fairly young, I’ve talked to more people about God directly or indirectly than I would assume most have at my age. Either in my own family with a few being atheist, few Catholics, few Protestants and I just found out about one of my family members is Muslim. Now I’m just waiting for a Jewish and Buddhist to come into the family and we’ll represent the entire world for the most part lol. Though we are very different from each other and have vastly different views on politics, religion and lifestyles, there is a few things that we all have experienced.
We’ve all seen Gods presence in the world. From the Grand Canyon, to the mountain called Mount Everest. From the great oceans to the Sahara desert that is bringing its sand all the way to the United States right now. From the great expanses of the stars that go on forever, to the marianas trench in the ocean.
“For His invisible attributes, that is, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen since the creation of the world, being understood through what He has made. As a result, people are without excuse.”
Romans 1:20Hcsb Bible
Whenever I get the chance to go to the lake and see the sunset, I am in awe of the power of God. Whenever I get to go camping and look up into the vast expanse of space, I am again in awe that God that created it all actually cares about me at all. I’m just wondering why he would at all.
Now of course I’ve seen all of Gods glory in his creation, but not all decide to see his glory. Several of my family and friends are atheist, which disappoints me because I want them to come to heaven with me. But I can’t say they have a chance after death to come to heaven, because they have no excuse. They’ve seen a part of his glory in his creation.
Everyone has seen this, but some choose to either worship the creation, reject God completely and try to take God out of it, while others choose to see it how it is and glorify God the creator. It’s also not just the simple observation of the creation, but after more study of how it works, God is more glorified. The possibility of the universe and life coming from nothing makes no sense, the possibility of the very complex order of the brain and eyeball are beyond imagination. The possibility without God is foolish to think otherwise.
We’re not even getting into the fulfilled prophecies that God has fulfilled through Jesus and his prophets.
So as I ask you if you’ve seen God, I’m asking if you have accepted his glory. Have you seen it and follow the God who created it all?
