There is a standard

So why can one person judge someone and smother can’t? Or rather, why are some people considered hypocrites while others aren’t? Well the difference is the standard by which you judge.

“We know that God’s judgment on those who do such things is based on the truth.”

Some people will judge with just their experiences and though they may be right in pointing a particular thing is wrong, the basis by which they judge it is faulty. Let’s have an example of how the experiences that you have won’t be good enough to judge someone else by the same standard. You grew up in a house with family that were rather warm and loving. To you that is normal, and even though you knew you were wrong when they raised their voice to you, that doesn’t mean everyone is right when they raise their voice.

Or another smaller one that we may have seen in our own lives. When you were upset as a child and threw a temper tantrum, you sometimes got your way. That doesn’t mean that to get your way that you should throw a tantrum and riot. If you had good parents, they corrected you at some point and you matured from your experience.

Of course these are just thoughts that came to mind. So why are some people able to be judges then? It’s because they are judging by a standard that doesn’t care about how we feel. It’s a standard.

The ultimate standard is the truth of God and the law that he gave us. We are sinful and deviate from the truth while God doesn’t.

The reason why there is so much chaos in the world is because people have been taught that there is their truth vs my truth and everyone else’s truth. There is only one truth and if we all accepted it, then we would live in perfect harmony. But we don’t.

So read the truth, know the truth and make it standard of living.
