Be careful what you store up?

Hey everyone, who likes to save as much money as they can? Obviously you do. You probably don’t like to see that number go down on your bank account too. So why do we store up so many bad decisions that eventually take us away from God.

“But because of your hardness and unrepentant heart you are storing up wrath for yourself in the day of wrath, when God’s righteous judgment is revealed.”

Romans 2:5

Hcsb Bible

The verse talks of our unrepentant heart as if we are storing up wrath in a bank account or putting it on a scale. Now we know that if we are saved by accepting Jesus as our Lord and Savior, then we go to heaven. But for each sin that we don’t repent from, we grow farther away from God and his love. We don’t feel as much of his love and we are hardened from God.

The further away from God we get, the more wrath we will feel at judgement day if we haven’t accepted Jesus and repent of our sin.

So repent please, don’t store up wrath. Store up treasures in heaven, not in our sin and wrath.

Just an average guy that loves Jesus, football and wanting to learn more about God everyday. I post my devotions and lessons on here to gather my thoughts together. So if I make a mistake, tell me and if you know places where I can learn more, tell me that too. I hope y’all have a great day.
