Pondering on the path God has lead me down.

So as some of you know, I have a wife and are now not in a paid ministry position anymore. There have been a few changes now since then. One, my wife and I have similar shifts and are able to see each other a lot more which has definitely helped our relationship, my mental well-being and just life in general. We have also joined a new church and are picking up a few of the kids from our old church.

We are also expecting our first child this year, which was not expected but we are all the more excited. When I say that it was a surprise, it was and now I’m even more excited and slightly anxious if you want to call it that since I will be completely responsible for another human being along with my wife shouldering that responsibility as well.

But a few things have reached my thoughts since finding out. I kept thinking back to when I was a kid and would be picked up to go to church for years until I was able to drive to church myself. I look back and am even more grateful now than before in the fact of someone that wasn’t family picking me up every Wednesday and eventually every Sunday for years. I ponder and think where I would be in life if not for my friends parents willingly picking me up for years even though I was stupid and stubborn sometimes. Would I be a Christian? Would I be a good guy or would I even be alive? The way my path has went in the few years I’ve been on earth has just Surprised me.

Now it almost seems second nature to look for people around me to bring them to church. Not out of wanting their praise or thanks but out of the fact that I am grateful for what God did through my friends’ parents. I hope and pray that God continues to use me the same way he did them which is not measurable at this point.

I’m not saying that my purpose in life is to be a great bus ministry but a part of it is to bring others to church and hear the grace of God and see it on display. I also hope and pray that God uses me and helps me be a great father to my child. So if you can, pray for me in that regard as well.

God is great. God is unpredictable sometimes. God is all knowing and sometimes what Gods plan for your future might have been connected to your past. Not going back to your sinful past but what pulled you out of it. I hope all of you are doing well and have a great day and continue to grow in Christ.

Just an average guy that loves Jesus, football and wanting to learn more about God everyday. I post my devotions and lessons on here to gather my thoughts together. So if I make a mistake, tell me and if you know places where I can learn more, tell me that too. I hope y’all have a great day.
